We are an "Efterskole" in Denmark.

An “Efterskole” is a 1-year boarding school for 16-17-year-olds, between the normal high school and sixth form/gymnasium, with a focus on community and social development.

In the spring of 2020, we were supposed to travel to Budapest and Morocco, but we were, like the rest of the world, caught in quarantine due to the Coronavirus.

So instead we thought, why not travel to the whole world digitally? Our plan was to try and visit as many people in different countries as possible. To get a connection and speak (via Zoom or Skype) to people our own age who were also affected by this worldwide crisis.

At the beginning of  2021, we ended up in lockdown again and had to cancel our usual winter sports trip to Norway. We decided to do the same thing with the 2020/21-year group as we had done with the 2019-20 year group.

We hope and believe that our students get a wider perspective on the situation if they talk first hand to people in other countries since other countries are affected differently and are handling the situation differently.
